I grew up in a tiny rural Alaskan community, now I’m raising my family in Fairbanks. I appreciate the sense of community I find here even though the population is much greater than my home town. I love Alaska and all the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. In my free time you’ll always find me outdoors; whether gardening in my backyard, overnight backpacking in the wilderness, or hiking eleven miles each way to a hot springs in 20 below; I’m always most at peace when I’m surrounded by nature.
